Ecosense Launches EcoGuard Subscription-Based Service to Support Radon Professionals

Apr 19, 2022 (AB Digital via COMTEX) -- San Jose, California - April 19, 2022 - Ecosense is thrilled to announce the launch of Ecosense Radon Managed Service (ERMS) EcoGuard, a subscription-based real-time monitoring radon service that Radon Mitigators, Radon Professionals, and other Health and Wellness entities can provide to customers.  Apart from generating additional recurring revenue for the radon business professionals, it will also serve to save lives and is an imperative proactive step to prevent cases of lung cancer.

By adding EcoGuard to a radon professional's existing services, the professional will create an interactive service plan that connects with the customer on an ongoing basis by providing long-term radon monitoring. With a powerful radon detector, EcoQube S (the professional iteration of the company’s TIME and CES award-winning smart radon monitoring invention), in the hands of the homeowner, paired with real-time monitoring data, monthly reports, and professional analysis, it’s a win-win combination. Professional service providers have a passive revenue stream while customers get peace of mind. More importantly, the community and public awareness about radon, dubbed the “Silent Killer,” is increased.

“The message is simple, homeowners and other building occupants must understand that the life-threatening dangers of radon exposure are real,” stated Insoo Park, CEO and Founder of Ecosense. “Radon, being a radioactive gas, is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers, responsible for over 21,000 lung cancer deaths in the US each year. 1 in 15 homes have radon levels above the EPA’s action level. This is a deadly problem and the only real solution to remedy it is proactive real-time monitoring of radon levels with our industry-leading and life-saving radon monitoring solutions.”

“Radon professionals are the boots on the ground that can spread awareness and solve problems,” remarked Ksenia Kolyeva, Marketing Manager for Ecosense. “Radon gas levels, impossible to detect with the human senses, consistently fluctuate, and prolonged exposure to high levels of radon can cause lung cancer.”

“Even though a building is remediated and the instant problem solved because radon is a naturally occurring gas seeping into enclosed environments through the structure’s foundation, remediation today does not guarantee a problem-free tomorrow,” stated Dr. Peter Foller, Board of Advisor member. “Continuous monitoring is the only solution to proactively prevent a problem - namely lung cancer - that you later need to cure or treat.”

Ecosense recently announced the signing of a key distribution agreement with the Sweden-based global leader in radon measurement, Radonova. Under this agreement, the EcoQube is now available through all online and non-online channels in the European Union countries having known radon issues.

The company has also begun aggressively advocating for the reduction of the EPA’s Radon Mitigation Threshold Level from 4.0 pCi/l to 2.7 pCi/l which is in conformity with the World Health Organization and is within the spirit of the US Government's Cancer Moonshot initiative.
