EcoQube’s IFTTT integration enhances radon monitoring by seamlessly connecting with smart devices, apps, and services. With a vast library of applets available on IFTTT, including Alexa, Google Assistant, and SmartThings, you can automate EcoQube to trigger actions when radon levels exceed a specified threshold (e.g., EPA’s action level of 4 pCi/L), ensuring a swift response to protect your home. Automation possibilities include receiving SMS alerts, logging data, and activating home ventilation. Stay informed with frequent, accurate radon readings and respond to spikes without delay, empowering you to take action and minimize the risk of lung cancer.
Receive immediate alerts as soon as radon levels exceed your chosen threshold.

IFTTT (If This Then That) is a free (with optional paid tiers) web-based service that allows you to create simple automations called “applets.” These applets use a trigger (If This) and an action (Then That) to connect different apps, devices, and services.
EcoQube uses IFTTT to monitor your radon levels and take action if they exceed a specified threshold. Once you connect your EcoQube account to IFTTT, you can create applets that send you alerts (SMS, email, push notifications) or interact with other smart devices (e.g., turn on a fan).
No additional subscription is required beyond your existing EcoQube account. However, if you want advanced features offered by IFTTT (e.g., multi-step applets or higher usage limits), you may need an IFTTT Pro or Pro+ plan.
1. Create or log in to your IFTTT account. 2. Search for “Ecosense” on the IFTTT website or app. 3. Connect your account by entering your EcoQube (Ecosense) login credentials. 4. Choose an existing applet or create your own by selecting a trigger (e.g., radon level above X) and an action (e.g., email alert). For more information, please read the step-by-step guideline.
Triggers often include radon readings above or below certain thresholds. Actions can range from sending notifications (SMS, email, push), updating spreadsheets, turning on a fan, activating a smart light, or anything else supported by IFTTT’s extensive list of services.
We currently support only two triggers: one when the radon level exceeds the threshold and another when it drops below the threshold. The system will not send hourly notifications; a trigger activates only when the measured radon level crosses the threshold after previously remaining on the opposite side.
As of today, Ecosense does not support IFTTT Webhooks, so IFTTT operates on a polling schedule. For Basic users, it checks for new data every hour, while Pro users receive updates every 5 minutes. However, this schedule is subject to change based on IFTTT’s policies. Please refer to the IFTTT plan for the latest details.
Yes. You can create multiple applets—for example, one for a mild alert when radon levels exceed 2 pCi/L and another more urgent alert for levels above 4 pCi/L.
As long as your EcoQube is operating in a region where it can connect to the internet and you have access to IFTTT, you can use the integration. Check local internet and IFTTT availability.
EcoQube (Ecosense) takes data privacy seriously. When you connect to IFTTT, only the necessary information (e.g., radon readings, device status) is shared to enable the applets. We recommend reviewing IFTTT’s privacy policies and enabling two-factor authentication for added security.
Check your applet: Ensure it’s toggled ON in IFTTT.
Verify trigger settings: Make sure your radon threshold is set correctly and your EcoQube is actively reporting data.
Check service connections: Reconnect your EcoQube account and ensure your email or SMS service is correctly linked in IFTTT.
Refresh intervals: Remember IFTTT isn’t always immediate; wait a few minutes or adjust your thresholds.
If you update your EcoQube (Ecosense) credentials, you may need to reconnect your account in IFTTT. Go to the Services or Connections tab in IFTTT, disconnect and reconnect EcoQube (Ecosense).
IFTTT has a free plan that allows a limited number of applets (usually up to 5 free), and IFTTT Pro or Pro+ offer more. Check IFTTT’s pricing page for details.
No extra hardware is necessary. As long as your EcoQube is online and you have an IFTTT account, you can start creating applets immediately.
Ecosense Support (support@ecosense.io): For issues specific to your device or radon readings.
IFTTT Help Center: For questions about applets, connectivity, and account management.
